Who are we?

My name is Catrice Robinson and I am in my fourth year at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. Human Resources is my current major and I am doing this blog for my Business Organizations class. This project in specific makes me reflect on the skills I have learned throughout this semester and reflect on which ones I used while working on this project. I believe one skill that I mastered well for this project is my time management skills. At first glance, this assignment seemed like a lot of work, but as college students, it is important that we know how to perform at a high level in the business workplace. Another skill I think I contributed to this group of two is organization. (Especially with the website in general) it was difficult at first to understand how to edit a website in this short amount of time. But with determination and motivation of getting a high grade in this class, I was inspired to learn the ways around this technology fluster. I contributed two personal applications and the articles for this project. I also worked together with my partner Lisa Moua to construct the conceptual model.

Hello and welcome to teamguidinghome.wordpress.com! My name is Lisa Moua and I am currently a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Although I am a human resource major, I recently decided to add an international business certificate to my “college goals” list.

With that being said, I often find myself stressed like many other students, but also finding peace through creative writing, something which I believe requires a good amount of skills.

Considering that this website was made for the purpose of describing what a successful team should be, I personally think that I bring creativity and originality to a team.

My partner and I started off our project mapping a conceptual model, a list of characteristics and strategies that make a successful team. I have also created a wordle consisting of keywords and phrases that help improve teamwork. Another contribution I made to this project was analyzing the conceptual model with references to articles and previous lecture material. Last but not least was my personal application of a time when I used the conceptual model to guide me through a situation.
